Best Time to Visit the Taj Mahal

It is always good to see The Taj Mahal spreading its glory and charm so there is no good or bad time to be there. Whenever you visit you will find it extremely magnificent. However summers are extremely hot in Agra thus it is recommended to visit Taj Mahal Agra during winters between October to March. Also if you love photography, try visiting The Taj Mahal in the morning as early as possible. Morning time is also good if you want to avoid the crowd.

The Taj Mahal Timings And Entry Fee

The Taj Mahal in Agra is open from sunrise to sunset on weekdays, except for Friday when the ground is open for prayers at the mosque between 12:00 and 14:00. You can have a night view too on the day of the full moon and two days before and after the full moon day. Entry fee for Indian citizens is Rs. 20 only but foreigners have to pay Rs. 750 for the visit. However citizens of SAARC and BIMSTEC countries have to pay only Rs. 510 for visit. Online ticket booking facility is also available on asi.irctc.co.in for your convenience. All visitors have to go through a very strict security check while entering in the Taj Mahal. It is advised to carry a small hand bag only to save time during security check.  You can carry a water bottle, small hand bag and camera inside the complex however photography is not allowed inside the main mausoleum.
